Farnborough FC went into administration, as is sadly too common these days, what is not common these days is for a big time gambling site to buy the club to save them. That’s what Paddy Power did. Not being satisfied that they saved a struggling club, they made each player legally change their name so that on paper it looked like they had built the greatest squad ever. They did not. I’m not sure who I feel worse for, the guy who’s name is now Diego Maradonna, or the guy who’s name is Paddy Power.
